Don't let the hood change you

A great sense of pride and accomplishment over came  him as he finished making his mum a cup of tea of his own volition.

As he handed the cup to his mum, her eyes lit up with surprise. She thanked him and smiled approvingly.

He ran back down the stairs to the front room, packed away his playstation and carefully putting the games back into their respective cases and returned them perfectly onto the shelf.

He stood back and carefully scanned the living room for anything else out of place. He noticed a picture frame hanging on the wall askew, and proceeded to adjust it with clinical precision.

"I'm off to football mum," he shouted back up the stairs.

"Ok, Miles, make sure you come straight back, it's a school night." His mum replied.

"I will." He said, as he tied his laces whilst sitting at the bottom of the stairs.

With that he grabbed the football in the hallway, and exited the front door.

He closed the door behind him, and made his way up the garden path whilst slowly pulling his hood over his head.

All of sudden without no logical explanation or warning, his eyes narrowed and his warm smile vanished. Even his walk began to change. An overwhelming desire had come over Miles.

This desire was to do sheer unadulterated badness...
