The solemn magpie

The solemn magpie,
A victim of prejudice;
Walking and pecking,
Searching and hoping,
Minding his own.
What did he do to deserve such a bad rap?
He is looked upon with scorn,
All because he is alone.
Perhaps he is lonely,
Perhaps he is self sufficient.
We'll never know if we don't give him a chance.
