Finding heroes

A continuum that begins in the first instance of consciousness; from our parents to the cartoon superheroes,  sports stars, musicians and film stars.
As we age our heroic admiration tends to veer in the direction of the poets, painters and revolutionary thinkers.
And with each new interest we find a new hero, someone who has championed their passions with such a zealous vigour that it delightfully charms the soul.
