Adele
The eagerly anticipated theme song is here, and it only serves to wet the appetite for a Bond lover like myself. When I first heard that British singer, Adele, would have the honour of singing the theme song for SKYFALL, I wondered exactly how it would sound.
Bond is more than just the films, the theme tracks have become so iconic and have transcended the decades with many great musicians taking turns to contribute to the huge franchise. The previous two title tracks for the rebooted Bond have received mixed reviews with Chris Cornell and Jack White and Alicia Keys doing the deeds to Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace respectively. I actually quite liked both, although Chris Cornell's - 'You know my name' did not especially sound like your anti-typical Bond song. Never the less, this can not be said for Adele's new offering. To me, it screams of Bond, it has the hall marks of a song that should hold the hand of the film that is Skyfall . A very noble effort from a songstress who more than deserved her stab at up holding the quintessentially English institution that is - Bond, James Bond.
