Mr Nobody

Mr nobody walks aimlessly and shamelessly,
Loudly but not proudly,
His vision is sharp but his mind is cloudy.
To everyone he knows who sees him he says "howdy,"
He dreams of how he'd spend oil riches from Saudi.

Mr nobody walks slowly and hopelessly,
Dangerously close to the edge of the ledge.
To himself he makes a solemn pledge,
To eat more fruit and
To eat more veg.

Mr nobody moves quickly as his stomach is sickly
from spending too many nights under the “infy”.
Coveting plenty of scantily clad ladettes turned footballers wives who carry their pets...
In bags,
Glass bottles in plastic bin bags clink
As their left over’s contaminate the sink.

Mr nobody knows that nobody knows what he thinks
so he puts on a show when he drinks.
He jokes with folks
and revokes his earlier promises
and then re-promises after he's vomited.

He writes a reminder to remember the things that he knows he'll forget and still hasn't done yet.

He has many friends and very few foes, although he borrows to pay who he owes.
He makes a statement with his clothes,
and hopes that it shows but deep down he feels that nobody knows.

Mr nobody both likes and dislikes himself,
He tries to be himself and be the opposite of himself.

Mr nobody wants to be somebody.
