What's in a watch?

In my opinion there are a few things that a man wears that gives a rich insight into his taste and personality. A watch is one of them.

The size and shape of the face, the colours, the make, the materials used to make it, and of course the strap - are all key factors that one cannot just ignore when choosing a companion for your wrist.

I've long had a fascination with timepieces, and still believe there are watches for every occasion.

One watch simply isn't practical. Ideally, you should be aiming for at least two watches in your wrist game. One for day wear, and the other for evening wear... Dependent on the rest of your attire or mood.

A watch is a subtle way of expressing yourself in an understated way. It separates the men from the boys. It's undeniable to those in your company, as it quietly slips out from under your cuff and all of a sudden demands attention.

Change how you wear a watch. Classy pieces mixed with a casual look and rugged casual watches with smart attire. Even digital watches can play a key part in anyone's summer wardrobe, with the G-Shocks as an obvious choice.

The watch featured here is my latest addition, a Michael Kors in a rose gold finish complimented by grey rubber which I acquired in June this year.
