The Haim girls...

The more my ears hear, the more they dig these girlies that bit more... The LA ladies are bringing the eclectic cool to 2013. It's been a bit of a journey for the sisters from their early career origins in 2005 - 2006 onwards back in the middle of a decade when they began to develop and grow.

The girls, who's father is a chap that hails from Israel, hence their band name, and surnames (imagine that) have been compared to a few artists - the usual thing that (lazy) people love to do when a new act is on the scene. Anyway, never mind that.

What interests me is the people who they say they have drawn their musical inspirations from. 90's RnB super group TLC and then Destiny's Child and even more recently A$AP Rocky, are such examples that actually surprised me. But whatever you like you like. Genres such as Rap are transcending. So, with these influences to name but a few and their summer time sound of pretty folk/rock/indie which for me sounds pretty damn good the girls who have a daddy that probably is a stand up dude have a good underpinning of urban music that has enabled them to take snippets and formulate a sound that although the music I have heard doesn't particularly scream crazy wiggas but rather demonstrates you can be influenced by something but do not have to necessarily copy it.
