The Great Power of Time
The concept of time is a funny old thing. It governs our movements, frames our lives, dictates and officiates. The majority of the world is in subjection to it. I can't really speak for indigenous folk who dwell in remote forests, or nomadic people who frequent expansive deserts. But, anyway, they probably have some form of telling the time, I think.
Time is a major boss of lots of things. For example; where we should be, and when it is time to return home are two such examples when time should be respected. Some individuals on this earth have no problems getting to grips with the grand commander that is time, some obey and embrace it. Then there are the others who quite frankly have disdain for the boundaries and authority that it tries to impose. Trying to in vain to champion non - conformity, yes, these such people are time rebels.
That annoying alarm bell goes off in the morning and you hit the snooze button (which may last for five - ten minutes). This is an instance when time displays its spooky power. This vindictive entity is certainly not on your side when you so dearly wish it to be. Before you know it and before you can pretend to sleep again - the alarm rings...%@**!!
The disgruntled workers that hate their jobs. Diligently clock watching every so often. If they did not already realise it then they should, for time is laughing in their stupid faces. It knows they are watching it - so for this reason it will move slower than an asthmatic sumo wrestler on a treadmill.
An enjoyable occasion... Anything one remotely takes delight in...Well, wait, be sure to enjoy it. Time will be doing its best to make sure that the hour or hours roll by quicker, move faster. Of course this is in my opinion. (Listen, I didn't once say any of this was based on scientific facts).
So, really, we all are mostly (still not too sure about forest and desert dwellers) concerned with time to a high degree. Are there enough hours in the day? Some people claim that they never have
enough time. This is actually a very common statement. But if these individuals stopped to think about what they frequently say - they would maybe come to the grand conclusion this statement is another instance of time pulling all the strings and chuckling at theirs and our expense.
Food for meaningful thought? (perhaps not).
Time to go...
