This moment in time

Waking up to sunshine is always welcome in my mind. Friday, Friday... Radio on, whilst having some breakfast and the broadcasters voice reiterates to me that Olympic fever has been strangling the media for as far as I can remember.

The closer it has gotten - the more fervent has the coverage become. Observing various celebrities and general public carrying the torch - displaying huge grins and expressing how delighted they are - to have been granted such an honour. Even if you are not particularly interested. I have heard some of the public are generally underwhelmed - it will still be interesting to see how this bonanza of sporting events pans out.

I am sure hero's will be made of any triumphant Team GB members. Cult hero's made from any athlete from a small un fancied nation with little or no hope - but the nation (Great Britain) take them into their hearts. Eric the eel springs to mind. Equatorial Guinea firmly put on the map due to his heart warming poor efforts in Swimming. (2000 olympics).

Maybe there will be some controversy, records broken, valiant defeats (GB are very used to this). Excitement and jubilation.

It should serve to be an interesting period. I will watch like all the masses. Maybe Olympic fever may grab me; then maybe it wont. Only time will tell.

Time for the day ahead.
