Memory Lane...

A little trip down memory lane...before the Blue Ray and the DVD devices that we are all accustomed to nowadays - this is how we all got down. This rectangular contraption, widely recognised as the humble video recorder aka VCR, was a very popular family staple.

I remember how it would be wired up to your television player and you were good to go..not forgetting the special AV channel to sync it all. Those older days when we would record our favourite TV shows and watch them at a later date stand out to me. Marking the cassettes with various titles and stock piling them.

A jammed cassette in your VCR was of course bad news. Removing it would prove tricky, what a pain that was. Eventually they began to get fazed out by the DVD juggernaut followed by Blue Ray.

Let us take a moment to recall the humble VCR and all of the years it served us before technology went super slick.
