The play

We reconvened at our now weekly meeting place; an office in a classic building that has been converted into a centre for arts, crafts and exhibition. There was a vintage fair in the foyer where they served tea, coffee and hot food.

We compared notes, a week of research had produced a wealth of fresh information that could perhaps change the course of our initial concepts and ideas. Our characters now had an added depth, we revisited our original plans and sketches from the previous week and started to pick them apart.

Coffee break...

There is so much more to the story that we had originally thought; we delved deep into the backgrounds of our characters, assessing the possible psychological effects of their individual experiences and how they would have affected their personalities and perhaps provided the motivation for their actions and achievements.

Although we had made a significant breakthrough it still felt a bit like we were staring at a blank canvas. We had in front of us a puzzle with thousands of pieces, it is a case now of putting it together.
