Something To Ponder...

Why is it that if one or two people go to a nightclub in fancy dress costume they wont make the dress code  and will be turned away but if a group of people go in the same fancy dress they will be fine? Yet, if the same group of people go to a night club in smart/casual atire they will be considered to be a threat due to their number and turned away, but if one or two of them go dressed smart/casual they will be fine?
