Aaliyah

Drakes never hidden his obsession for the late great Aaliyah,  but even I was shocked to hear that he has somehow got involved in releasing her stuff that never saw the light of day.

Sonically, it makes perfect sense... Drakes right hand man Noah '40' Shebib's production would always be able to produce a soft soundscape to match Aaliyahs soft vocals.  I know Timbaland came out saying that it doesnt seem right that him and Missy are not involved, and I'm pretty sure most of the true Aaliyah fans and music purists would agree.

Its rumoured that there's more stuff in the pipeline.

Anyway, I've never really been a fan of music being put together AFTER someones died.  I cant help listening to it thinking, would the artist even like the beat or the person featuring?  Also 9 times out of 10 the end product sounds flawed to a degree.  I can only base this off of what happened with past rappers such as biggie or pac.

Who knows, perhaps because its RnB it may be possible to recreate genuinely good music...

This track compliments her vocal, its just kind of a trip listening to this... her voice sounds equally haunting as it does comforting.
